Al-Sadhik Haven is a bespoke residential project located in the heart of Nungambakkam, Chennai—an address that carries both heritage and urban sophistication. The client’s vision was clear from the beginning: to create a home that embodies the timeless elegance of French luxury, while still responding to the local climate and lifestyle. Our approach began with studying the nuances of classic French interiors—ornate detailing, symmetry, rich textures, and refined grandeur. But rather than creating a space that felt overly formal or period-specific, we reinterpreted the style in a manner that felt relevant, livable, and deeply personal. The architectural language was anchored by proportion and balance. Facades were designed with classic mouldings, arched windows, and wrought iron accents reminiscent of Parisian townhouses. Inside, we introduced high ceilings, full-length French windows, and a neutral colour palette highlighted by soft golds, dusty blues, and creamy whites. The interiors were layered with intricate wall panelling, elegant cornices, and marble flooring—all softened by plush velvet upholstery, antique mirrors, crystal chandeliers, and curated décor pieces that evoke an old-world charm. Every material was selected to enhance tactility and richness—be it hand-carved wood, silk drapery, or inlay work in stone and brass. The spatial planning balanced opulence with functionality—formal living areas with sculpted furniture and statement lighting sat alongside intimate corners designed for everyday comfort. Storage and modern amenities were integrated discreetly to preserve the purity of the aesthetic. Through close collaboration and detailed craftsmanship, Al-Sadhik Haven evolved into a residence that is both a visual statement and a sanctuary. It captures the romance of French interiors—elegant, indulgent, and timeless—while offering the warmth of a home tailored for modern living in Chennai’s heart.
